IBDP Maths HL SL Tutors in Gurgaon and Delhi
Maths curriculum for the IB Diploma programme (IBDP) has been revised. For the academic session 2019 - 21 onwards students will be studying the revised IBDP Maths syllabus. Four different options that are now being offered to students are as under:
Applications and Interpretation - SL (AI - Standard Level)
Applications and Interpretation - HL (AI - Higher Level)
Analysis and Approaches - SL (AA - Standard Level)
Analysis and Approaches - HL (AA - Higher Level)
Applications and Interpretation (AI) is designed for students who wish to explore the description of the real world in terms of mathematical applications and models. In this course, students can focus on solving practical problems using mathematical concepts. Students will develop a keen interest in describing the present world. Applications and Interpretation (AI) course is being offered at the standard level as well as a higher level. Students choose any one level as per their interests and potential.
Analysis and Approaches (AA) has been designed for those students who wish to study mathematics further in their graduation. The focus of the course will be developing mathematical arguments and mathematical thinking with or without the use of technology. Applications and Interpretation (AI) course is also being offered at the standard level as well as at a higher level. Students may choose any one level as per their interests and potential.
Whatever may a student opt-in Mathematics as one of the subjects in IBDP, the new mathematics syllabus will focus on developing the skills of analysis, abstraction, and generalization, risk awareness, and statistical literacy, algorithmic thinking, modeling and inquiry for the students. The students will be able to apply the mathematical theory learned by them in the class to solve real-life problems.
